amplifying a 12v portable cd player?
I have a car amp 400w 12v-12v and a portable CD player with headphones and a speaker resistant 40w water can be connected together and work, my idea is to play the cd in the car, to amplify the music to the speakers out of the car as a PA system. vans amplify ice cream music to a 35w speaker with a flare, a small amplifier, the music coming from either wind up music box or the subsequent using electronic bells do not know the size of the amp I use, but that play off the streets into the distance, on eBay are selling a CD with songs ice cream van, so I was thinking instead of buying air horns on my car, I have the above items so that it will cost money, and I can have songs much as I like, one more question, if this works, do I have to have thick cables to the amplifier and speaker only 40W? and how to put music on an electronic chip?
You will need a 3.5mm stereo adapter to connect to RCA CD player to the amplifier. Ground the power amplifier and run to the amplifier. You will connect a manual on / off between a coiled cable amplifier + input to the remote input on the amplifier or can be connect the remote control to a power source that activates when the engine is running. cord and large speaker cables are not required as you will use low-power application. Be sure to turn the gain very low so as not to destroy the speaker and adjust from there. Google search for "3.5mm to RCA adapter" and website Radio Shack for switches and cables. Sorry, I do not know about music in a reply electronic chip.
