American Bulldogs do not get along well with other dogs?
I have a lab who is 9 and in December I get an American bulldog puppy. I know can be raised to be aggressive if trained to be that way but if the puppy grows with another dog it should be fine with the other right? I'm in college and living away from home for dogs to live with my dad, but he works during the day to have a new puppy should be about my other dog entertained Right?
It does not sound like a good idea .. you need to get a dog with an energy equal to your current one. Moreover, the new puppy needs training and if your dad is not there, then maybe now is not a good time for a puppy. The penalty will most likely cause more for your older dog, and could have fights that break out during the day … what is best to keep them apart .. NOT just a good idea … Sorry. ALSO .. it's not really the race that cause problems .. is leadership they are getting from you. I have 3 dogs .. 2 pit bulls and a Great Dane .. and tahnks a lot of hard work for me, is a tight package, that I am their leader.
