What is the best breed of dog around small children?
I'm thinking about being a dog breeder when finished and wondered "Colledge of What breed. I'm leaning towards hounds.
Yes hounds. I had 4 beagles and have been great about my younger sister (age 6 in this time). But we have had since birth and beagles are so good around small children. They have a gentle nature, very exploratory, consideration if given the chance (mostly there nose). They are also good with other dogs, even if many of them because they used to hunt in large groups for used to it. My Beagle just sleeping on the couch right now:-D Hope this helps.
