German Shepard questions … and then there's the cat?

I have a German shepherd 4 years old and I get a kitten for my kids. But he does not like other dogs, (aggressively, barks, hair on the back rises, some glue, etc.) and really do not think he likes cats because she barks at them when he sees outside the window, (cats, squirrels, etc.). I thought it might get a baby kitten and introduce gradually. Any idea on how to handle this situation, or to introduce them.

Well this is not easy to solve. I have dogs and cats live perfectly well together, yet in some cases, dogs and cats just do not get along. (Dogs are territorial and generally when someone or something is in "the yard" go to the cortex, nessesarily not the same reaction if you bring someone or something in the house). When I first got a kitten that had 3 dogs, one was part German Shepard. I introduced the kitten slowly toward the man in the first 3 dogs in your case, your German Shepard. I sat on the sofa and held the kitten in her arms, letting my dog approach the kitten and, of course, sniff. Little by little every day brings more and more pussy in the life of the dog until it loses interest for your dog. Your dog gets used to smell of the kitten. Finally, the kitten may be at any time all you want. Note: this is not for some dogs, and you simply can not coexisit the dog and cat together. Have you ever taken your dog to a dog party, if you do see the reaction of the dog gets when around other dogs, this could be a similar reaction to when the kitten is first introduced. Hope this helps, and I hope you will be able to introduce the kitten without problems.
