Approve Carrier
Looking for an airline approved cat carrier (onboard from the UK to Portugal)?
I am moving from the UK to Portugal and have booked a flight with TAP Portugal since they allow cats in the cabin. Now I am looking for an airline approved cat carrier, but haven’t found one yet. It seems that most UK pet stores only have the big solid carriers for transport in cargo but I haven’t found any airline approved cat carriers to take a cat on board of an airplane.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can buy one in the UK?
hi, phone tap they are really good and i have seen people travelling with your normal pet carrier in the cabin ,it just have to be big enough for the cat to proper stand up.
Please make sure both cat and carrier do not weight more than 7kg or 15 pounds.
And i was just reading the TAP website has i’m from portugal and i worked for them before, and i think you should call them has apparently they have a specific rule for pets travelling to and from UK.In the website it says they will have to travel as cargo,but double check with them ,also it says they can sell you the correct pet carrier.
sorry if i couldn’t be more help ,i know how hard it is to arrange travelling with pets .please do everything in advance has rules change all the time and it would be awful if you had to leave your pets behind.
