Advantix Dog

Does your dog to be immune to ADVANTIX or first-line?
I have used Advantix for years and here lately my dog is infested with fleas you just put in your ADVANTIX 2 weeks ago and was infested a week later. So I changed the first line remains the same, and I mean infested everywhere. What should I do?
We had this happen last year. First line call about it and I said they were not receiving reports from any other person, but my friend had the same thing happens. Clean the house and tried to get rid of any place that could be flea eggs. Then, about one month after the first application of Frontline, we apply again (it had applied the provisional lead in the two weeks according to the assistance of veterinarians) and took charge of the fleas. I do not know why it did not work once, but not first-line or Advantage work during that period. Is your dog go outside? If so, you may want to get these pills they sell at Wal-Mart. You can put in your garden to get rid of fleas and other pests. We ticks the yard this year (thanks to a subdivision under construction where the fields used to be) using the pills to get rid of them. Also, make sure to clean your dog's bed and not bathe your dog within 48 hours of treatment of fleas! If you bathe your dog to give a little relief, use liquid dishwashing plain blue Dawn dish. This will stun the fleas and can be washed or combed away from him. Make sure you rinse good drainage because they are not killed by dishwashing liquid – just knocked out and the fleas can hold their breath under water. We must clarify that all the way down the drain so it can not return. Also can use Sevin dust (garden department of Wal-Mart) to get rid of fleas in your yard and home. I have used on my pets in the past, but I would not recommend it. It is a poison and can cause respiratory distress in animals if they breathe too much of it. However, you can, put on your carpet and down on the couch and then to up empty. This will leave a layer the same way on the sofa and carpet and keep fleas (and other insects) away. Can also be given in his yard or put something in the back of your cabinets (if you have problems with insects in cabinets). Of course, make sure no children or pets can get into it and make sure that does not contaminate the food. If "pop" to kill fleas, be careful where you wipe the dirt – can hold thousands of flea eggs and was about clean your house or clothes! Good luck!
